I was working on my summer mood board tonight (can be found here) and felt inspired to note some thoughts and recent finds. Hoping to do this on somewhat of a regular basis - weekly, bi-weekly, monthly? Still trying to figure that out. But here it goes. My first editor’s note!

Ryan and I are at the lake while he finishes his busy season and I prepare for a few trials. We’ve been happy to trade the snow for sunshine! After a week of being down here I’ve realized just how much the Colorado cold affects my mental health. Let’s just say, things have been going much better for me lately. It’s been a real treat.

It’s also led to a new influx of energy and inspiration! Which has been great because I had been wanting to dive into this space and start creating content, but that’s hard to do when you feel stuck on your own rut. I’m glad I didn’t push anything because I’ve found so much joy in getting dressed, snapping photos, and sharing my everyday life. Doing so has also reinvigorated my appreciation for finding beauty in my routine. None of those feelings would have been possible last month.

Aside from work, my mind has been consumed by all things home lately. As some of you may know, we have been excitedly preparing for a new home and big renovation later this summer! We’ve been all over the place the past seven years (moving apartments, cross-country moves, living with parents, you name it) so this move is much needed. And the prospect of designing our space is just thrilling to me. I’ve started drawing up some basic plans, creating mood boards, and noting finishes I absolutely want to incorporate. I’m hopeful that doing so will make getting started a bit easier. Regardless, it’s been so fun. I can’t wait to share more!

I wanted to mention how much I love biologique recherché. I started using their products about a year before our wedding and I swear my skin had never been happier. I cut some of it out recently in the interest of trying to save a few pennies (okay, more than a few… this stuff is pricey!) and my skin straight up freaked! I got right back on my regime and within days I was all cleared up and glowy again. I only use a few key products, mixed with some other brands, and find that they incorporate well into an already existing routine. I was also happy to learn that the ingredients they use are top notch! Definitely makes me feel good about the investment.

An editor’s note of mine will never be complete without a making note of a things I’ve been eyeing. I promise it won’t always be closet related!

I recently came across these charming food covers for outdoor dining. They are to die for!

On my search for outdoor dining bits I also saw this fun melamine dinnerware set at pottery barn. Since we plan to have a few little ones in the not so distant future I figured a beautiful melamine set would be a must so I took note of these.

I’ve been obsessed with these portable table lamps and will order a few once we’re ready for outdoor entertaining.

How darling are these daisy plates? They come in yellow, pink, and blue and I am so tempted to snag one of each to use as special birthday plates or something.

I recently shared that I tried pistola denim for the first time. I purchased this pair during the shopbop sale and man oh man, they are incredible! The quality, fit, and comfort are next level. Currently eyeing these, these, and these to add to the collection. I haven’t worn ripped denim in years… is that still a thing?

I just ordered this work bag in black pebbled leather for my next business trip. It reminds me of the Khaite Amelia tote but at a much nicer price point. I plan on trying to use it as my carry-on for the flight as well. I have an 11 hour flight and a high maintenance in-air routine… so I’ll let you know how it goes!

The precious white eyelet top picture above is Sea NY’s kiara top from a few seasons ago. I just checked to see if they have an updated version and they do! And I love! I might just have to snag her.
