Honeymooners
Ahh the honeymoon…
Immediately after our wedding we took off to spend two weeks in Mexico! With everything we had going on over the summer, we didn’t have much time to invest in planning our honeymoon. We knew what we wanted (warmth, relaxation, good food, beaches) so we picked a spot and let our beloved travel planner, Lauren, handle the rest. And we were so so glad we did. She did such an amazing job and we literally did not have to worry about a single thing. I could go on and on, but let’s just say we’ll never be planning our own vacations again!
We started off at Susurros Del Corazon, which was just spectacular. Susurros is a gorgeous new property with top of the line accommodations and delicious food! Since this was our first stop on the honeymoon, we just wanted to focus on relaxing. Our typical day included sleeping in, enjoying breakfast made with local ingredients, lounging by the pool or beach, reading books, getting dressed up for fun dinners, and ordering late night churros to our room. We ventured off property one night for dinner in downtown Punta Mita, but otherwise stayed put the entire week. This place is heaven on earth!!! We’re already plotting our next trip back!
Our next stop took us to One&Only Mandarina. This place is absolutely stunning. Photos cannot do it justice! The property is comprised of 105 villas hidden in the rainforest on the undeveloped coastline along the Riviera Nayarit. It is secluded and romantic and just incredible! Because the property is so vast you’re carted around on little buggies which only added to the fun of it all in my opinion.
It was the best of both worlds - plenty of opportunity for relaxing and adventure. Wanting to take full advantage, this portion of our trip was a tad bit more action packed - zip lining, cooking classes, three trips to the spa (not necessarily adventurous but whatever).
We’re still reminiscing about how fun and relaxing this trip was. We initially wanted to jet off to somewhere like Bora Bora or Italy, but this ended up being exactly what we needed after a whirlwind summer - romantic and low key. Forever wishing we could relive these two weeks!

*Side note: I have to add this in just because it was so fun for us. One night, close to the end of our trip, we had quite the downpour - like the most rain we have ever seen in our lives (a little sketchy tbh)! But it resulted in the most incredible light show that we got to watch from our bed.
