Packing for a Honeymoon

I’m not gonna lie, I loovveee packing (and purchasing) for a fun destination! Before a trip, I’ll always find a little something new to bring along. I try to keep it practical and use it as a time to refresh my wardrobe where needed. But sometimes there are exceptions… and a honeymoon is one of them!

Immediately after our wedding, we hopped on a quick flight to Mexico. We stayed for two weeks which gave me the perfect opportunity to so really stock up on some new goodies that I knew I’d be excited to wear alongside my newlywed glow. There are quite a few things I was so happy to have purchased (or have gifted to me) and I figured I would note them here for anyone who may be heading on a beachy summertime getaway!

This L.L. Bean Boat Tote embroidered with my new last name was essential! It was fabulous on the plane and housed our books, hats, sunnies, snacks, and more while traveling to the pool or beach. I initially purchased to use for a long weekend trip or big errands out, but she’s really so versatile that I felt like I needed to bring her along! Not the best pic of it (I just love this photo), but I wore this woven beach hat pretty much every day. It got it a few years ago, before this style was as popular as it is now, but tons of places seem to carry similar things now. I’ve eyed this Jenni Kayne version more than a few times. I received this raffia tote from Jenni Kayne as a gift at my bridal shower and used it almost every day! It seems to be sold out now, but there are a few floating around on the resale market (including the cute mini version) for those who are interested (1/2/3). Another staple were these Ancient Greek Sandals - gorgeous on and so comfortable! I have them in the black and natural colors.

In the spirit of being fully present, I didn’t snap a whole lot of pictures, but I’ve listed a bunch of items I’d deem as essential below. Some of these I purchased for myself and others were gifted to me by the lovely ladies in my life. All of these would make a great bridal shower gift!
