The holidays are officially over and I officially have warmer days on the mind. Which is not super convenient considering the fact that the winter weather is just about to pick up in Colorado. To distract myself I’ve been browsing summer items online and man there are sooo many goodies.

I’ve really dialed back on the shopping lately. To be fair, we’re hoping to keep our summer fairly low key (since last year was just wacky), so I don’t have a ton to shop for. We’re also putting most of our efforts toward purchasing a home this year. So it’s for a good cause! After using our wedding/honeymoon as an excuse to buy myself pretty much whatever I wanted, my husband is thrilled this situation. Me? Not so much. But putting together a roundup of pretty things I’ve put in my cart (only to quickly abandon) scratches the itch… a little.

This summer, we have some weddings on the docket and we’ve been toying with the idea of a beach getaway after Ryan’s busy season! With that in mind, I’m snagging a few pieces that I can put aside and pull out once the weather warms up and I want something new to wear. A lot of retailers are having great sales right now.

I just snagged this dress to wear with these shoes for a wedding in late August. I also treated myself to this bag and these sunnies just for fun! I am now looking for excuses to buy this swim suit and this dress - I looovveee a stripe!
