my favorite post-workout smoothie

recipe from “The Clean Plate” by Gwyneth Paltrow

A good smoothie always puts me in the best mood! I discovered this recipe a few years back (in one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s cookbooks) and recently revisited. It’s a unique, but addicting, combination. I’ll usually whip one up I get home from a workout but also enjoy it as a mid-day pick me up!

Ingredients

  • 4 ice cubes

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice

  • 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries

  • 1 spoonful almond butter

  • 1 scoop protein powder of your choice (I like this one)

  • 2 pitted medjool dates

  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk

  • juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  • layer ingredients in your blender by weight (heaviest on the bottom, lightest on the top, and liquid last).

  • blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
